Nahum

The Lord is a powerful and vengeful God who will destroy the city of Nineveh due to its violence, lies, and sorcery. Nineveh will be overwhelmed by a flood, its idols destroyed, and its people consumed by fear and despair as the city is plundered and its wealth taken away. The Lord will break the yoke of oppression from Judah's neck and destroy Nineveh's military power, leaving it with no influence, and despite its strength and allies, the city will fall and its people will be taken captive.
