Haggai

The prophet Haggai delivered a message from the Lord, rebuking the people for prioritizing their own homes over rebuilding the temple, which led to their lack of prosperity and drought. In response, the people, led by Zerubbabel and Joshua, began working on the temple. The Lord encouraged them to be strong and continue the work, promising to fill the house with glory and to shake the heavens and the earth, ultimately making the new temple's glory greater than the former one. The Lord also addressed the people's spiritual state, declaring that their actions were defiled due to their neglect of Him, but promising to bless them from that day forward, and to overthrow kingdoms, making Zerubbabel a symbol of His authority.
