Zephaniah

The Lord declares His intention to destroy everything on earth as punishment for the wicked, specifically targeting Judah and Jerusalem for their idolatry and corruption. On the day of the Lord's sacrifice, officials and those who have committed violence will be punished, and no one will be able to escape the Lord's judgment. However, those who seek the Lord and righteousness will be hidden on the day of His anger. The Philistines, Moab, Ammon, and Assyria will be destroyed, and all nations will bow down to the Lord. The city of Jerusalem will be judged for its rebellion and corruption, but a remnant of humble people will be left in Israel, and the Lord will ultimately rejoice over the city with gladness, saving the lame and outcast and changing their shame into praise.
