Habakkuk

Habakkuk questions God about the prevalence of violence and injustice, and why the wicked prosper while the righteous suffer. God responds by revealing His plan to use the Chaldeans to execute judgment on the wicked, but Habakkuk continues to question God's justice and the Chaldeans' merciless actions. God instructs Habakkuk to write down a vision that will be fulfilled at the appointed time, condemning the arrogant, greedy, and idolatrous, and warning of punishment for their actions. Ultimately, Habakkuk expresses reverence for God's power, asking Him to revive His presence and show mercy, and resolves to trust and rejoice in God despite uncertainty and potential disaster.
