Zechariah

The book of Zechariah contains a series of visions and prophecies from the prophet Zechariah, who was called by God to encourage the Israelites to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem after their return from exile. The visions include a man on a red horse, a measuring line to measure Jerusalem, a golden lampstand with seven lamps, a flying scroll with a curse, and four chariots with horses of different colors. The prophecies declare God's jealousy for Jerusalem and His plan to rebuild the temple and restore the city's prosperity. The book also warns of God's judgment on the nations, including Damascus, Tyre, and Sidon, and promises salvation through a humble king who will ride into Jerusalem on a donkey. Additionally, the book contains calls to repentance, warnings against false idols and prophets, and promises of a time of peace and prosperity when God will dwell in Jerusalem and many nations will join Him.
