Titus

Paul writes to Titus, instructing him on appointing elders in Crete who must uphold sound doctrine and be able to encourage and refute those who oppose the truth. He warns of rebellious people who are ruining households with false teachings and instructs Titus to rebuke them sharply. Titus is also instructed to teach sound doctrine, emphasizing the importance of self-control, respect, and integrity for various groups of people, including older and younger men and women, and slaves. The passage concludes by emphasizing the importance of living a godly life, awaiting the return of Jesus Christ, and teaching these principles with authority, while also reminding the people to be subject to rulers, obedient, and to show humility toward all men, and to devote themselves to doing good and helping those in need.
