John

The book of John tells the story of Jesus Christ, who is the Word of God and the creator of all things. Jesus came to the world, but was not recognized by it, and instead was met with hostility and ultimately crucified. Despite this, Jesus performed many miracles and taught about the kingdom of God, saying that no one can see it unless they are born again. Jesus also claimed to be the light of the world, the bread of life, and the good shepherd, and he gave his life for the sheep. After his death, Jesus was buried, but on the third day, he rose from the dead and appeared to his disciples, giving them the Holy Spirit and telling them to care for his sheep. Jesus also foretold the fate of his disciples, including Peter's death, and told them to follow him. Throughout the book, Jesus' divinity and authority are emphasized, and he is shown to be the one who gives eternal life to those who believe in him.
