Daniel

The book of Daniel tells the story of Daniel, a Jewish exile, who served in the courts of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and later King Darius of the Medes. Daniel's exceptional wisdom and knowledge, as well as his unwavering devotion to God, earned him a high-ranking position in the kingdom. Throughout the book, Daniel interprets dreams and visions for the kings, including Nebuchadnezzar's dream of a statue and his own dream of four beasts rising from the sea. The book also recounts the miraculous deliverance of Daniel's friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, from the fiery furnace and Daniel's own survival in the lions' den. The latter part of the book contains Daniel's visions of the future, including the rise and fall of various kingdoms, the coming of the Anointed One, and the ultimate triumph of God's kingdom. The book concludes with Daniel's revelation of the end times, including a period of great distress, the resurrection of the dead, and the final judgment.
