1 John
The apostle describes Jesus as the Word of life who has appeared to them, proclaiming a message that God is light and has no darkness, and those who walk in the light have fellowship with others and are purified by Jesus' blood. Those who claim to be without sin deceive themselves, but confessing sins leads to forgiveness and purification. Jesus Christ is the atoning sacrifice for sins, and those who obey his commands demonstrate they know him, while those who deny Jesus as the Christ are antichrists and do not have the Father. Believers are called children of God, and their future is not yet known, but they will be like him when he appears, and they are recognized by their love for one another.
