Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest.

Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

Therefore, you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and then, at my arrival, at least I would have received what is mine with interest
