The Lord will judge Samaria and Jerusalem for their transgressions, resulting in destruction, mourning, and exile for the children of Israel. The wicked will be punished for their evil deeds, and the leaders of Israel will be condemned for their corruption and injustice. However, in the latter days, the mountain of the house of the Lord will be established as the highest, and many nations will come to it to learn God's ways, leading to a time of peace and prosperity. A ruler from Bethlehem will bring peace and security, and the remnant of Jacob will be a powerful force among the nations. The Lord will ultimately execute vengeance on the nations that did not obey, and will restore and protect his people, showing compassion and steadfast love to the remnant of his inheritance.
