John 8:33

They answered him, "We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, 'You will become free'?"

They answered him, "We are Abraham's descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?"

They answered him: "We are the offspring of Abraham, and we have never been a slave to anyone. How can you say, ‘You shall be set free?’
