Psalms 131

The speaker humbly acknowledges their limitations, avoiding matters that are too great for them to understand. They have found inner peace and quieted their soul, much like a weaned child resting in its mother's presence. The passage concludes with an encouragement to Israel to place their hope in the Lord, both now and forever.

1My heart is not proud, O LORD, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me.2But I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with its mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.3O Israel, put your hope in the LORD both now and forevermore.
