Ezra 2
The people of the province who returned to Jerusalem and Judah from Babylonian captivity were listed, including the descendants of various families and the number of people in each. The list included priests, Levites, singers, gatekeepers, and temple servants, totaling 42,360 people, along with their servants and animals. Upon arrival, some family heads gave freewill offerings toward rebuilding the house of God, donating gold, silver, and priestly garments. The priests, Levites, and other temple workers settled in their own towns, while the rest of the Israelites settled in their respective towns.
