2 Thessalonians

The Thessalonians' faith and love are increasing despite persecutions, which is evidence of God's judgment. God will punish those who trouble them and give relief to those who are troubled when Jesus is revealed. The writers pray for the Thessalonians to be worthy of God's calling and for the Lord Jesus to be glorified in them. The day of the Lord has not yet come and will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, who will oppose God and be destroyed by Jesus. The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by counterfeit miracles and evil, and believers are called to stand firm and hold to the teachings of the gospel. Paul asks the Thessalonians to pray for him, to keep away from idle brothers, and to follow his example of working hard, and concludes by wishing them peace and grace from the Lord Jesus Christ.
