Ruth

Elimelech, a man from Bethlehem, moved to Moab with his wife Naomi and their two sons due to a famine in Judah, but after his death, their sons also died, leaving Naomi and her daughters-in-law alone. Naomi decided to return to Judah, and her daughter-in-law Ruth chose to stay with her, eventually arriving in Bethlehem. Ruth met Boaz, a relative of her late husband's family, while gleaning in his fields, and he treated her kindly due to her loyalty to Naomi. Naomi instructed Ruth to approach Boaz at the threshing floor, and he promised to marry her if a closer relative did not. When the closer relative declined to redeem Naomi's land, Boaz bought it and married Ruth, and with God's blessing, she bore a son named Obed, who would become the grandfather of King David.
