Revelation
Jesus Christ gives a revelation to John, which includes letters to seven churches in Asia, commending their faith and rebuking their shortcomings. The Lord then reveals a series of visions, including the throne of God in heaven, the four living creatures, and the 24 elders worshiping God. A Lamb, representing Jesus, takes a scroll sealed with seven seals, which brings various consequences, including war, economic hardship, death, and destruction. The servants of God are sealed on their foreheads, and a great multitude from every nation stands before the throne, praising God and the Lamb. The seven trumpets bring destruction, and the seven bowls of God's wrath are poured out on the earth, causing painful sores, death, and destruction. The prostitute, symbolizing a corrupt and powerful entity, is destroyed, and the fall of Babylon is announced. The marriage of the Lamb has come, and the beast and the false prophet are captured and thrown into the lake of fire. Satan is bound for a thousand years, and then released, but is ultimately thrown into the lake of fire. A great white throne judgment takes place, and a new heaven and a new earth are revealed, with the holy city, new Jerusalem, descending from heaven, prepared as a bride for her husband.
